Congratulations to the team for a good first season at 11-a-side. The lads narrowly missed out on winning division 3 ; finishing a creditable second place and thus earning promotion to division 2. The season culminated in an evening at Brierley Hill Civic Hall to collect runners up trophies - a fitting reward for their efforts last season. Well done to all the players ; Lets hope this is the first of many successes.

As we approach the new season and the challenge of division 2 football; it is important that the lads dont rest on the acheivements of last season and continue to strive to improve. We feel sure that if the players show the same application, determination and improvement as over the last 2 seasons
then we will be competitive in the higher league.

Having lost Joe Bate to Phoenix in the Summer ; we welcome Reiss Pugh to the squad. Reiss has settled in well and hopes that he enjoys his football with Gornal.

A big thank you to Mueller Europe and Yorkshire Copper Tube for their continued backing of the team . Their support is vital and is much appreciated by everyone associated with the club. A special mention must go to Joe McCabe From Yorkshire Copper Tube ; he drove a long way to donate loads of raffle prizes towards our end of season presentation - a wonderful
gesture.

Finally, Good luck to the lads in the forthcoming season . All players, coaches, parents , relatives and supporters enjoy the football.
